The great price point also attracted  thousands of anglers to the Magnesium rods. The new trendy neon green accented Magnesium2 is priced right and perferct for your quest for the elusive bass. American made quality at affordable pricing.

Next Gen SM “Superior Modulus” Graphite blanks made by Gary Loomis’s Team at North Fork Composites in Washington state. Made with Kistler’s typical “raw carbon” look….leaving off the paint and other coatings that negatively effect the performance. Super light and surprisingly sensitive performance is what you will find while fishing with any one of these awesome Magnesium 2 rods.

Time tested Fuji reel seats for longterm durability and rock solid grip on reel feet. The latest in handle designs offering a super tacky grip in all weather conditions, introducing the Neon green Winn Grip handles with oversized eva butt end for extra leverage on the cast and hook set.

- Kigan Zero tangle stainless steel guides with MACRO sized Coalite rings

Another great feature is the tip top design that eliminates line wrap due to the invisible welded frame. Kigan Hook Lock keeper.

The trending neon green color thread wrapping makes the Magnesium2 rod appear to be a custom work of art. Something to be very proud to own and count on when the money is on the line. Tournament anglers on a budget will find the Magnesium2 series to be their most reliable, most affordable and most loved rod on their boat.

Bought this rod couple month back and I have nothing bad to say at all! Its become one of my favorite rods I have when flipping reeds or some timber. Really good tip can feel almost anything you bounce against really feel the bites as well. Great backbone as well to help get them out of those thick stuff! (Posted on 5/10/17)

This rod was my first Kistler, now that's all I want to fish. The mod-fast action keeps the head shaking monsters from spitting the jig at you. Primarily use this rod for 1/2 oz jigs, sometimes 3/8 oz. Sensitivity is superb. Winn grips are now my favorite type of grip. (Posted on 5/8/17)

This rod is simply amazing! Great heavy cover stick. Strong, light, and sensitive. Winn Grips are an awesome feature and perform great in wet conditions. Can't wait till next season to really give it a proper workout. Couldn't pass this one up for the price, but wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed a heavy stick. (Posted on 11/12/16)

  5. The feel of this thing though... Review by Patrick

So I will admit I was very leery to try this one based one two things. 1. I don't care for the microwave guides on a spinning rod I tried (personal preference). 2. I love the KLX so I was unsure if this could hold its own.

Let me say this rod is awesome!!!! Feels very similar to the KLX. The KLX has more sensitivity but I like the winn grips on this way better. The guides have seemed great so far! Way better than the microwave spinning guides. I use this rod with 50lb braid for big topwater baits, frog, and even flipping heavy cover! I love it! (Posted on 10/18/16)

  6. Sensitive, light, and effective Review by Spencer

The 7ft rods have always been a go-to length for most multi-purpose techniques. I usually shy away from 7ft heavy rods because of a lack of sensitivity. I have not yet found that problem with any kistler rod. I am able to throw anything from a 1/4oz texas rig to a 1oz punch rig with this rod by switching line from 15 lb fluorocarbon to 50 lb braid. When flipping with these rods using braid, I highly recommend the P-Line TCB Braid. It is extremely quiet going through the Fuji guides and quite when yo-yo-ing baits in heavy cover. All round great rod, very light and sensitive for a 7ft heavy. This is a must have. (Posted on 6/4/16)

I spend a lot of time fishing heavy cover. This rod is hands down the best I ever used for the conditions I catcha lot of big bass in. Extremely sensitive but delivers amazing power when it counts. Jigs, frogs, flukes, this rod has put giants in my livewells. (Posted on 3/14/16)

  9. Toads and Toads Review by Jeremy TBC

The 2015 Magnesium Jig Toad Carolina-Rig 7' 0" Heavy is my go-to bass fishing rod for frog poppers (Spro and Snagproof). I do use it with traditional topwater frog bass fishing, but the tip has enough give to really create a topwater commotion when used with popper frogs: walk them, pop them, pull them ... However you want to move your frog, this rod provides plenty of action. I pulled so many 4-7lb largemouth out of Lake Fork and Lake Ray Hubbard with this rod, even in the densest cover, while using popper frogs on this rod. On occasion, I will use this fishing rod with swim jigs, too, but I literally cannot take my frog off of it because it has worked so well. If you want to save money and purchase a frog rod that performs like a 500.00 rod, this is the bass fishing rod for you. You will not be disappointed by this Kistler Rods gem. (Posted on 11/3/15)

  11. Dragging a football head never felt so good Review by Kevin

I had the previous Micro Mag version of this rod and loved it so much, I had to try the newest version. I use this rod for my football head jigs dragging them across points. The sensitivity of the rod is fantastic in detecting that subtle bite from deep below. The rod has plenty of backbone to set the hook with a sweeping hookset and haul them in from submerged cover and structure. The weight makes it easy to fish with all day without fatigue. Great rod all around. (Posted on 10/30/15)
