Entirely MADE in the USA and with stunning good looks, this new Helium3 will undoubtedly be the go to rod for the fisherman looking for the ultimate in performance. The Helium3 is totally redesigned from the blank up. I got this rod last week and used it to throw a chatterbait with in a tournament Saturday . I was totally pleased with it . I think the action is spot on and its a very versatile rod . I believe it would be a great jig , frog , Carolina rig , and smaller swimbait rod . (Posted on 10/9/17)

  3. Frog Fishermans Dream Tool Review by John

I've used this rod for flipping / throwing Jigs skipping docks and was so amazed I ordered 2 of them. Then the lake matted up I spooled them up with 50 lb braid and went to frogging. I have boated more bass out of the thickest matts on Guntersville then I ever have in my life. The rod it so light it adds a lot more action to a frog to get the bites that the other competition isn't getting. This is a must have tool for every angler don't order just 1. (Posted on 10/3/17)

  4. Hard to Do Better @ any price Review by steve in Union, KY

Several suggested this rod to me as a frog and Big-EZ rod for Lake Okeechobee where I often fish. The rod is this and so much more. Rod is roughly 4.4oz on my scale, balance is OK not perfect, the action of the blank is to die for, build is perfect and the sensitivity is very close to my NRX rods. Very little this rod won't do with excellence and the hookset is unreal. I was going to order another and I got upscaled to the zbone model but I doubt it can be much better.

Last week I hooked a Christmas tree and landed it on 30# braid. This on a rod where I throw rigs as light as 1/4oz total weight.

You can pay more for a rod but this is about as good as it gets. (Posted on 7/28/17)

  5. Good value for the money Review by Troy

This is the fourth Kistler I have owned. As usual the sensitivity and lightness of the rod is unmatched for this price range. I bought the rod for ledge fishing, big jigs and big worms. It has not disappointed. The only negative if you want to call it that, is the top end of the lure weight is a little ambitious. The rod is listed as 3/8 to 1 1/2. The 3/8 is right on but about 1 to 1 1/4 is as heavy as I felt comfortable throwing so you might want to consider that when buying one. This seems to be true of all their rods. But still a great rod. Good job Kistler! (Posted on 7/6/17)

Bought this rod early last year, for frogging, and have not been disappointed. The rod being 3 inches shy of 7.6, really helps in the walking of a hollow bodied frog. Rod is well balanced, and has good lower backbone to help move the fish from cover. I see no reason this rod can't be used for other applications, but this is the only thing I use it for. I fish a lot as a co - angler and wanted a good multi-purpose rod. I use this rod as a flippin stick and also love to use it as a texas rig rod. A great all purpose rod with plenty of sensitivity and the back bone to get the big girls in the boat. (Posted on 5/10/17)

One of the best all around rods Kistler makes. Whether you're pitching and flipping, Carolina rigging, dragging a jig or hard head out deep, this rod is hard to beat. Best rod in it's class for the price, hands down. Awesome frog rod as well!

I bought this rod because this is one of my primary techniques and it's a rod that is in my hand most often. It is light, sensitive, and has enough backbone to pull 4 pounders through the slop and pads. I was a little hesitant to spend the money but I was glad I did. The quality and performance out weighed the hit to the wallet. (Posted on 5/9/17)

Chucks those hollow bodied frogs a mile, plenty of power to stick em with braid. Lots of tip to let it skip good and even throw lighter baits like horny T's, swimbaits, little swim jigs. Also good for pitching light baits and dragging footballs and rigs. Great tip for braid, if you use lots of braid definitely get this rod! (Posted on 11/28/16)

What can I say? A quality jig rod can easily be the single most useful rod in your locker and hands down put the most fish in the boat. You need to be able to know what your jig is doing every second its in the water and this is THE BEST rod i have found to do that. It is light, sensitive, and has the power to pull fish out of even the thickest of cover. I can't not speak highly enough of this rod. (Posted on 3/1/16)

I bought this rod with the sole purpose of dragging a 10" worm and casting jigs out on points. It is the perfect balance of power and precision. I can fish this heavy action rod all day and not worry about weight or imbalance making me get sloppy in technique. You can't go wrong with this one. (Posted on 10/29/15)

I bought this rod in February and wanted to get a full season of use before giving my review of this rod. All I can say is this rod by far exceeded my expectations. I throw jigs almost all the time so I put it through the paces this year. I even caught a 40lb blue cat on it with no problems. The sensitivity of this rod help detect even the lightest bites which helped me win two tournaments this season. Kistler makes so many great rods you won't be disappointed no matter which model you chose! (Posted on 10/25/15)

As the title may indicate, I use this rod for a controversial technique. Ethics aside, this rod is a blast to throw the a-rig on! It has plenty of backbone to launch the rig a long ways, and plenty of power to haul in 3 fish at a time (we are limited to 3 hooks on our a-rig). I actually own 3 of this same rod I love this one so much. The other two are typically used when I am flipping or frogging. The rod is super sensitive and has plenty of length to haul your catch out of the deepest cover. (Posted on 10/22/15)

Been using this rod to throw offshore jigs for a year now. AMAZING!!! You could feel a humminbird talk into a walkie talkie with this thing. Other rods may be similar in sensitivity but never with the durability of this rod. I have put a beating on this rod and its still as sensitive as the day it was made. (Posted on 1/28/15)

I love all the Helium 3 rods I own but this is one of my favorites. Light weight, great sensitivity, excellent power. I use this rod for flipping and pitching creature baits/jigs into pads and grass and anywhere else there are bass. The tip is light enough to toss lighter jigs well but has the power to pull 'em out even on longer casts well back in the thick stuff. I replaced a 7' which I also love but went to a 7'3" to make pitching easier. The 7' is now set up as my frogging rod. Did I mention it is light? (Posted on 7/19/14)
