I'm thinking of putting a Diawa TDZ on the helium 7'6"H(first kistler). I'm sure somone in here uses the same combo; two questions:
1. Can the TDZ offer adequate drag pressure for hard hooksets?
2. Hows the balance of these two combined?
Any info or suggestions yal could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Chris: Welcome to Kistler's and the Heliums.
Yes, a TD-Z will work fine including its drag system. I have a few mounted on my Heliums but I do prefer the [-- login to view link --] for the Heavy and Exxtra Heavy Heliums. The TD-Z will be fine though and certainly lighter in weight than the Antares.

Chris- I use the 7'6" with a Shimano Chronarch Mg50. I either spool it with 50# braid for grass mats or 17#Flouro for wood. Either line works great for aggressive hooksets, and the Chronarch is small, extremely light, and allows my hands to get to the reel and rod for great control.
I do not have any experience with the Daiwa, but suggest you try screwing on a Chronarch at the store to feel the difference.
