Let me start off by saying hello to everyone. I used to post on the BPS sites quite a bit back in the day but there are so many new people on that board that it hardly feels like a family anymore. Thought I would try out the Kistler board.
I own several St. Croix rods and several BPS rods as well as a 2004 model Kistler 6' 8" brush buster Heavy. I love this rod to death and use it alot for pitching worms and jigs. I am now at the point where I want to maybe purchase another Kistler and am looking for a rod that I can throw big jigs up to an ounce and also throw frogs with. I know that is a lot to ask because you typically need a light tip to throw light frogs and a stiff tip to pitch and flip big jigs. Should I stick with my short pitching stick or should I go with a different rod.
Also, the Kistler I own now has the gloss finish, the older guides, and the cork in front of the reel seat. How much lighter are the new Graphite Series? Thanks.

First off welcome to the Kistler board. I remember you from the BPS forums and you will love the Kistler boards.
Secondly, I don't know what you older Kistler rods weighs but I can assure you that the Graphite rods will be lighter then the one you have now. Since you are wanting the rod to throw jigs up to an ounce you are going to need one of the Heavy action rods. I don't know what length you prefer but I would look at either a 7' Heavy or a 7'6" Heavy. Here are some links to the rods I would look at.
Here is the rod that you want. After Trey posted it I need to edit my post. I completely forgot about this rod.

If you want a fine froggie rod that will work well with big jigs, then get you one of our KFGS73 Graphite Plus rods.
This stick has a nice tip that is not too stiff for frogs but it is fast and can handle heavier jig type lures.
The weight of this stick is light when compared to other heavy powered rods and balanced very well too.
I know of several of our pros that prefer this stick over many of our higher end rods.
Here is the link to this rod:

Well there is the answer from the Man himself. I don't know why I didn't put that rod in my original post but I guess it was too early for me.

Thanks for all the comments! I will probably order within the next month. What is the weight of the KFGS73? Can custom features be added like a split grip handle or different guides like the REC guides? Thanks.
