i want to put my fuego on a senko, tube, etc. rod. i am looking at the he66mhc and the he69apc. i would prefer the 6'6'' but i was wondering if it had as soft a tip as the 6'9''. i really like a softer tip for weightless plastics for castabilty, but want the power of the MH. rod may also see a Rat L Trap or two

The APC would be the way to go, in my opinion. It has a litle softer tip, (imo) and works well with 1/2 oz. traps and spinnerbaits as well. Both are great rods, but the 69APC is a little more versatile!!!

I'm using the APC with my fuego for the same types of applications. What a set up. It feels so natural working that set up with with everything. I've gone heavier than suggested with no issues. I haven't had as much luck casting lighter than 1/8 but then again that's to be expected. I don't have the skill a lot of these pro's have. Flipping mini's and other smal stuff still works great in tight areas. Bottom line, you'll love it, the rod has everything you're hoping it will and then some.

I havn't used those two models. I throw weightless, 5" Senkos with my 7' Medium LTAs and they go "a country mile" Very Happy . I have Daiwa TD-Zs on them.

My best buddy throw's them from shore with his 7' Medium LTA and a Fuego. He's landed several Bass over 8 lbs with that combo so the Medium has plenty of power.

how much back bone does the medium have? i really want it to have enough power to be able to keep them out of that nasty stuff; i often pitch a Senko into heavy cover. i really want to check out a He69apc

I would get a 7' Medium Heavy for ( - - blocked - - ) Sticks style baits. I personally don't think the 7' Medium has enough backbone for me. I use the Medium for all my treble hook baits for the most part.

Hello Again,

I am glad that you are now considering the Helium line. Hands down, I recommend the He69mhAPC. This rod is a true workhorse for me and is my favorite rod for tubes, worms and senkos. Also, it balances perfectly with the Fuego.

Good fishing,

Demetrius
