I have finally decided that I am going to try the Mg Carolina rig rod for swimming jigs. After much consideration, research, and a ton of questions I have come to the conclusion that this might be the right rod for the job.
Now however, I have decided to order one more rod before tournament season starts.
I want a 7' rod that I will use primarely for throwing soft plastics, senko's, worms, lizards and tubes (for the most part) I usually don't use much more than 1/4oz on these applications and will be using 14lb mono most of the time. I want a rod that is going to have backbone for pulling fish out of cover, but I dont want it to be a broom stick. I want a softer tip but still fast (I know I'm asking for a lot there) I want a very accurate rod. Just for reference, The backbone on my 69APCMH is about right but I would like the 7' to have a bit softer tip.I would purchase this rod from any of the rod line ups except the LTX's (would love to have one, just a little out of my price range right now)
I appreciate anyones input.

Hello,
I would recommend the MgSWMH70( senko special ) or the Helium 70MHLTA. Both would be excellent for soft plastics/worms and both will be able to get the bass out of cover easily.
Good fishing,
Demetrius

You will not regret going with the He70MHC. This rod will will be perfect for the things you want to do with it including throwing 1/4oz buzzbaits and Spooks. To me the He70MHC is the all purpose rod.
