At $3.47 a gallon at Chevron it has really slowed down my run and gun style for tournaments, unless the bite gets good Some of our lakes here in California are small but the Delta is not one of them. On the Delta it has really stopped me from prefishing and fishing some of the areas that I would like to fish in tournaments even fun fishing I will launch near were I want to fish. Its been tough!!

IT MAKES PRACTICE FISHING FOR TOURNAMENTS TOUGH. CAN'T PRACTICE AS MANY DAYS AS IN THE PAST, AND INSTEAD OF MAKING LONG RUNS IN PRACTICE FROM SPOT TO SPOT I LOAD IT BACK UP AND TRAILER FROM SPOT TO SPOT!

Here in Oklahoma gas prices are like a yoyo. Up one day and down the next. There have been days recently when the price changed three times from morning to night. It makes it hard to budget for a fishing trip that way. I usually gas up on the way to the lake each week and whether I need it or not, I always put at least $5.00 in the boat. That way I'm always at or above a half tank.

I just quit going by myself. It cost at least $100 in gas for the boat and truck to go to Sam Rayburn and back. Those trips are now more of a special occasion than a routine visit.
