7/3/05 2:22pm Kistler frog rod.. |

Hi,
How does the Kistler frog rod compare to the LOOMIS frog rod or maybe the new DAIWA frog rod..I fish a lot of chestnuts and pads on the Hudson River,Champlain and the Potomac, and I'm really looking for a specific rod for the technique..I love your heliums..I have 4..
Any info would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
~Brian

I don't know what action you would want but here is a rod that might work for you. [-- login to view link --] or the Heavy model

I would go with their "Heavy", 7', 6" Helium(HE76HC). It has the 'guts' to land them and can be used for swimbaits, C-rigging, etc.

Hey Brian,
I use the He76HC a lot for throwing frogs and soft plastic versions of these baits like the Horny Toad.. works great for me.

Brian,
If you want, I can mail you a copy of a tv show with Charlie Ingram and Bobby Barrack using the Frog rod. This will answer all you questions and more. Let me know.
