Itīs a great rod! It is one of my favorites, very light and extremely sensible. I use it for Carolina rigs 1/2 to 1-ounce and even using mono I can make very solid hooksets some 30 yards out... also a very good rod for 1/2 oz and heavier jigs, I love using 3/4 oz football jigs, it is simply perfect for these tasks. Also excellent with big yamamoto grubs or 10-inch worms...
Hope this helps,

I got a chance to use this new rod for a small club tourney, I put a c-rig on and was on around my third cast when I felt the tap, tap, tap, I set the hook and fish on, the rod performed very well, the fish put on a great fight all the way to the boat, to bad it wasn't a bass, instead I hooked into a 15" bullhead. I caught several fish with it and I have to say I am very impressed with the rod.

I put this rod through a tough workout today, fished a small lake for a club tourney, took off the c-rig and tied on a 10" worm - texas rigged. By the time I was done 5 fish for 18.5 pounds and the win. The rod performed awesome, even when setting the hook on a couple 4+ fish. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the fish.

FireAsh - you have a great rod for texas rig worm fishing as well. I have 2 of these rods and I use one of them for texas rigging and the other for carolina fishing and it works great for both applications. Congratulations on your win.
