I currently own 10 magnesiums and 1 LTX. My question pertains to the LTA series. My LTX is a "10" in the sensitivity department with the mags somewhere between "7-8". I'm looking at the LTA 7' MH for a dedicated 3/16th worm and1/2oz. jig rod. These baits will be used in water no deeper than 10'. My question is will the LTA be more sensitive than the MGs by a considerable margin or just a little. thanks. Very Happy

I don't know if that is a question one man can answer but I can tell you that the new LTA blanks have to be more sensitive because of two changes: 1. The new Intelamatrix graphite blanks 2. The Fuji SIC guides. 3. The split cork handle. The real test will be your test. Let us know what you think.

Both series of rods are outstanding in the sensitivity department. I really like the sensitivity of my LTA's for texas rigged worm fishing.

I use the LTA He70MHC for my texas rig worm fishing and I can tell you that the sensitivity on this rod is a "10". I also own about a dozen of the MG's and the sensitivity difference between the LTA and the MG will be very little, but the LTA is the more sensitive out of the two, to me, they both have superior sensitivity over all other rods. As was said, the real test will be your test. Have a blessed New Year. Very Happy

i think that i can answer the question, i have atleast two of every rod that kislter offers, and i only use the lta with non moving baits or baits that i need to really feel exactly what is going on in the water. So if you want to drop shot, jig, carolina rig, etc, you will notice a significant ammount of difference between your mag. and the lta, but on the other hand, the magnesium is still a better rod with better feel than any other brand on the market.

Think of it like this... the Mg series was good enough to win a Bassmasters Classic. If it is good enough to do that, it's good enough for me to fish with.
