Just purchased my first kistler rod, the MGJT70H, and it was love at first site or was it love at first feel? Then again it was definitely love at first bite. Well the bottom line is, i'm in love with it. I broke the tip off of a flipping stick named after a bird, on a hook set, and I dont cara for it no more. It was a day before a tournament and needed to be replaced. Fortunately, up in the northeast retailers dont have a larger assortment of flipping sticks in stock. In fact they basically had no quality flipping stcks in my area. The local Gander Mountain did have a assortment of St Croix and some Kistler rods, mostly Grapite plus. Then there was this single MGJT70H which most nearly represented the rod I had broken. Well I stuck approximately 25 fish on it the following day, pitching a sweet beaver or hoo daddy bait. The sensitivity was fantasic, the lightness of the rod was a pleasure to fish all day long.I will be purchasing more, but not at the pace of NHRMike who probably owns stock in the company by now. Gotta save my pennies or sell off some of my other bird rods

Hey John,
You definitly have a great rod in that MGJT70H. I also have had the bird brand, but in my opinion does not compare to Kistlers. I hate that you guys do not have a large assortment of Kistlers to chose from up in that area. You can always chack out this website for rods. Have you tried a LTA yet?
