How does the Helium LTX stand up to a G Loomis GLX??

I was curious as to the answer to which would be better, a Loomis GLX or a Kistler Helium LTX.
Here is the basics:
medium size baitcaster approx 10 - 12 oz with line loaded
super braid line
looking at 7' - 7'6" medium action, medium fast - fast tip
casting predominately spinnerbaits and medium (3/8 - 1/2 oz) plugs

I would like to know how the two compare in:
sensitivity
transmission of structure vs. soft bites
overall weight
comfort
I am looking into purchasing a new high end rod this spring and I have been using Loomis rods for the nearly 20 years. I like them, but if there is something better, I would love to entertain that thought.

I used to use Loomis rods exclusively, and I loved them they are good rods. I traded a guy some high end baits for a new LTX Kistler when they first ( - - blocked - - ) out, and that was all it took for me. I sold all of my Loomis rods, and replaced them all with Kistler Rods.

The LTX is lighter, and more sensitive than the GLX Loomis rods I used to own. I also prefer the way the LTX feels in my hand compared to the GLX. The LTX has no fore-grip like the GLX rod thus enabling you to feel more bites, and structure in the water. The LTX also has a split grip which is very poular now, and cuts down on the weight of the rod. Another thing to consider is the LTX is cheaper than the GLX.

I also have fished Loomis rods in the past, but now I fish with Kistler rods. As said, the LTX is more sensitive, extremely well for those soft bites and much lighter than the Loomis, which you can tell by the end of a tournament day. For the price difference between these 2 rods, you can't go wrong by purchasing the LTX and from my experience with the Kistler rods, you will not be disappointed. Kistler rods.......you just can't beat them. Good Fishing.

Like Skeeter and Ray, I was a long time user of Loomis rods and owned a bunch of them. Never had a warranty claim and was perfectly happy with them until I tried my first Kistler. Within a couple of months I`ve replaced all with several LTX`s and a couple of LTA`s and oh yeah a few Mags. The LTX is without question the lightest, most sensitive rod I`ve ever used. I always loved the split grip design since the old Berkley Series One days so the LTX was a natural fit for me. Like the others said, you won`t be disappointed.
