I am looking at getting a crankbait rod soon and I am trying to figure out which rod will be better for this. I am leaning towards the 7'0 M but the 6'9" APC is in a close second. Any help will be great.

I've used the 69APC for crankbaits but it might make a better 1/2oz Rat-L-Trap rod. The 70MC would be better suited for crankbaits, especially in the 3/8oz to 1/2oz crankbaits. I like the 70MLC actually as a Helium crankbait rod for crankbaits from 1/4oz to 1/2oz and is the one I use the most for crankbaits.

sdfd504,
In the Helium series, the most used model by our customers on an average is the He70MC or He66MC.
I would urge you to check out the KCBCM7 model. It is a composite graphite/glass mix that is actually as light as the Helium models because of the unique design. The action and power is similar to that of the He70MC. The same goes for the 6'6" model.
The glass gives the rod a little more forgiveness in the tip but does not lack in power and sensitivity because of the graphite content.

Thanks for the help. I guess I will get the HE70MC. I will be throwing a Bandit Flatt MAXX with a frontrunner on it. Sounds like the rod will work perfectly.

Sounds like you already pulled the trigger SD. Good deal, what Trey said above is dead on the money. I own both of the KCBCM rods and would not trade them for the world. If I am throwing a treble hooked hard body lure it goes on one of those two rods period!

I've been using a HE70MC for cranks and spinnerbaits this season. I think I may go to a smaller 6-6 in the future just to change things up a little, almost all of my rods are 7ft.

It's been awhile since i visited this forum...All I have to say is listen to Trey. the KCBCM7 is an awesome rod. This has been my go-to rod this fall. Fishing cranks almost exclusively but I've thrown senkos, and spinnerbaits and I have been very pleased. Great rod for moving baits with open hooks.
