I don't know the exact rod weight, but I can tell you that it is one of my favorite rods. I fish the Mississippi River System and throw a lot of shallow to medium running crankbaits (i.e. Bandit 100 and 200 series). The rod is awesome. The entire weight of the rod is light, but the feel of this rod when running the bait is great. If you throw a deeper running crankbait, I would recommend a more stout rod (MH strength). Hope this helps....I would buy another one in a heart beat.

The KCBS7 weighs 4.6 oz and that weight is do to the Glass/composite blank. This rod is very well balanced and will launch a CB a long ways. Hope this helps!!
