I found this in an old thread:

The He69APC's tip is closer to the He70MC but it shares a similar backbone to that of the He70MHC. The He70MHC doesn't load quite as easily as the He69APC for casts, but is also a more stout rod.

If the He70MC is classified as a 2 power rod, and the He70MHC a 3, I'd stick the He69APC right in the middle at 2.5. It bridges the gap nicely and is a very very versatile rod - hence the designation of "All Purpose".

As for length, it is only 1.5" shorter in effective length from reel seat to the tip from the 7'0" Helium sticks. The other 1.5" is made up in a shorter handle when compared to the 7'0" rods.

Where does the the HE66MHC fit here? Is it more like the 70MHC just shorter? I am asking because I already have a 69APC and a 70MHC. I just ordered a 66MHC and want to know where it will work best. ( I have some ideas of my own but would like to hear from you experts.)

The 66 is so very close to the current 70MHC. We did make a change since that comment from long ago. I would just about chunk anything with your new 08 66MHC. Moving baits as well as wacky worms.
