I'm wondering how a 7'6H Telescopic would work for 14-22ft deep diving cranks and smaller swmbaits?
I have a 6'9APC that has become my Rattletrap and 6-12ft Cranking rod. I find the action of this rod Moderate fast relative to what I call fast.
I'm thinking if the 7'6H has a similar moderate action that it might make a fine deep cranking rod and have other purposes such as working a frog. The Telescopic is important to me as I can't boat any rod longer then 7ft and have limited capacity in these.
Thanks for the thoughts,
Steve

Steve,
The 76 heavy may be a bit too stiff for crankbaits, the HE70mhc is one of the most versitile rods in the Helium line up & would work great for deep cranking.

Last year I took a tip from the Kistler staff from this forum and got the He76MHC for tossing DD22's and other deep cranks. By far the best deep crankin' rod I've ever used. Enough flex in the tip to toss baits far, but still enough power to drive the hook and move a big fish. If you are a serious about deep crankin' this rod is a must.
