Hi, Id like to introduce my self. My name is Dago Luna and Im proud to help Trey to introduce his rods to Mexico.
3 years ago, a telephone call from Monterrey, Mexico to Kistler Rods headquarters change, according to my perception, the course of history for mexican anglers and why not, the history of Kistler rods. We have access to finest rods in the market and kistler have access to fast growing market. Im really glad to be part of this history.
Since then, Trey is a close friend of mine and I consider my self his eyes and hears about what is happening in this side of the world. I think Trey could comment more about this when he have time.
Trey visit Mexico few years ago and as I predict then, the fishing industry and market in Mexico start to move faster than ever. His visit make other companies to start looking into Mexico closer and in more serious way. He visit Mexico to assist to one of our most important tournament on that time and stay close to anglers, asking and listening about what we need, how we fish, what we expect. Im sure that visit send sales to high level cause anglers in Mexico has the right perception about how much Trey and Kistler rods care about Quality.
Kistler Rods are now some kind of cult object and loyal customers are increase in number. Kistler sponsor our last 2 teams in Black Bass Worl Championship in Portugal and Spain last 2 years. One of the anglers wons Spain Tournament. The name of the angler is Ismael Valdez, a big league BaseBall Pitcher , aka Easy Valdez or Rocket Valdez. So Kistler name figure in Bass Fishing in Mexico.
In Trey's first visit to Mexico, I said Trey things are going to change in Mexico and I was right. Today we have a ProAngler Tour were big names companies is putting money in big way to support sport fishing just like is happening in USA.
Im proud to be part of the people that make this happen and also really proud to wear Kistler name on my boat and team. What other name or brand do I going to use ? There is no other company that I can feel more glued. There is no other product that I can be so sure. So, Id like to make public my thanks to Trey and I like to share with you a pic of Kistler Boat
Im sure ProAngler Tour will be soon a well know circuit in USA and Im sure the Mexican Kistler teams is going to be on first places.

Yes, Dago is responsible for the rapid growth of the Kistler brand awareness in Mexico indeed. He is also helping the Mexican bass angler learn more about the sport through his web sites and TV show productions.
Kistler rods owes a debt of gratitude to Dago for the many translated conversations between myself and dozens of very friendly Mexican anglers during my many visits. Without his patience and dedicated attitude, we would not have made such a big presence inside Mexico.
Now that so many anglers are preaching Kistler Rods to their amigos, we are seeing a tremendous following from an evergrowing Mexican Bass Angler Society.
If anyone wants to meet Dago in Los Vegas at the ICAST show, come by the Kistler Rods booth and we will introduce him.
Thank you my amigo,
