Wow! First Alton Jones, now Steve. What a great guy! Good job Trey! Quite the team you have assembled. I met Steve last year at the BassMaster Memorial. Really down to earth. Steve and his wife were first class.

Thanks Brad. We have been working with Steve Kennedy for months and finally wrapped things up at the Amistad tournament where he finished 3rd. This guy is a pure natural! What great people he and his wife are while on the tour. All he wants to do is fish and travel with the love of his life and his dog. The three of them are living life to the fullest while fishing for $100,00 ever two weeks. What a life!
We are very proud to have Steve on our Team. His knowledge of rod usage and design will help Kistler Rods develop an even better advantage over our competition for years to come.
Thanks,
|

What I really like, Trey, is the fact that these guys are not only quality fisherman, but quality people; people that are great role models for kids. To me, they represent what I think of, when you hear the words 'Kistler Rod'. Any more surprises for us???
Oh and how did you do on Amistad?

I think Todd Faircloth would be an excellent representative. Strong Christian and a rising star on the Tour.

I have always admired Steve Kennedy for his laid back easy going demeanor as a person and an angler. What a great addition to the Kistler Team.

Who saw Kennedy stick those BIG fish on ( - - blocked - - ) this Sat. while watching the BASSMASTER ELITE on Amistad?
He was chunking swim baits with his He2 Heavy telescopic 7'11" rod.
He ended up in 3rd place after a flawless final day of fishing.
We are very proud of Steve and look forward to collecting his input into the next creation of newly designed Kistler rods.

I love the He2 7'11 rod. Awesome tip. Great for pitching baits, but it has a powerful backbone too. I was sight fishing on Conroe two weeks ago and hooked a nice 5 lb'r and loosened the drag on my reel, when she dove under the boat.
Needless to say, I forgot I had done that and later I was pitching a tube under a dock and saw my line move and when I set the hook, all I heard was my reel giving up line. I reeled up the slack and the fish was still on the line. Even with the reel giving, I was able to get a good hookset. Love that rod. I think I will have Clifford build me one with titanium snapback guides on the next one I purchase.
