Anyone having any issue with the HE70MS spinning rod? I have broken two tips right at the first guide with 2 new rods. I used the first one a few times and had a fish at the boat and the tip snapped. The second was snapped at the same spot the first time I used it and was trying to jerk a hook from a bush. No crazy angle or pressure! I have 5 other Kistler rods ( 3 MH casting 7', 1 H Casting 7', 1 MH spin 6'6") Never an issue unitl I purchased this rod. I am flipping plastic jigs (small and light) and drop shot. I broke the first rod using a small jerk bait with the fish at the boat.
Should I go to the 7' MH rod for Drop shot and flipping small pastics or is this just a fluke? I love the warranty, but dont want to keep having problems. It seems that the tip is so darn thin that I'm would be afraid of it breaking again. The rod does have tremendous feel and seems great, but???
Any input would be great. I figure this is just a glitch and will continue to get Kistler Rod's and direct anyone to get one! I like them better than my G. Loo rods!
Thanks!

I own 2 of the He70MS and personally have never had a problem with either. I use mine for throwing 4" weightless centipedes and tubes. Don't give up on this model because it is a great stick. My guess is that you just had some bad luck.

I also own two of the HE70MS among many others and have had no problems. I would stick with the same rod.
