Just got to cast a HE69APC tonight. Now I'm wondering if I should sell a new Loomis MBR782 (6'6M) I have and replace it with another LTA. My planned intent for the MBR 782 was suspending jerkbaits, small blades, maybe some finesse plastics (shakey head and Drop shot) and shallow cranks. The MG50 will be mounted on the rod with a 10# FC line.
Now I'm asking myself, what can't the HE69APC do that I'd planned to do with the MBR. Shakey head and Drop shotting come to mind as maybe a stretch in light weights. What do you think? What might your suggestions be? I'm not real big on 7ft rods for smaller presentations and I need at least the 8inch rear handle like is on the 69APC. Thanks for your thougths.

Steve,
I am a little bias but I'll tell you my thoughts anyway.
That Loomis rod is great rod for what you had planned to use it for. It will serve you well. I always promote the following statement when asked this type of question.
If you are more comfortable or confident in one particular model's attributes or manufacturer's style, you will most likely be more successful with that particular rod.
With that being said, you must make the ultimate decision. The He69APC is our number one seller because guys typically end up buying several of this model after trying it out.
Have Fun,
Trey

Prime example of why I like the Kistler family and staff. A straight-forward honest answer from the man himself. No BS.
