Who all here uses the lta spinning rods. I love my baitcasters but still haven't been able to make up my mind on getting a spinning rod. The reason is how I hold my rod and I am not sure if I will like the exposed blank on a spinning rod. For those of you who use them, did it take a while to get used to? Also Trey love the rods and wouldn't trade them for anything.

I use the rods and think that they are great. I don't know how you hold the rod but the exposed blank is the best thing out there. I can feel the lightest of bites with the blank exposed as i put my forefinger on it. as far as strength the rods will hold up, during some tournaments I have been known to boat flip a three pounder or two with my spinning gear and not worry about the rod at all. I was able to make the transition to the exposed blank right away it just makes the rod that much better.

I have three different Helium LTA spinning rods that I use in saltwater. I like them very much. I just finished a full season of Redfish tournaments and put all three rods through an incredible amount of abuse and they held up fine. The exposed blank is my favorite part of the rods. I even find myself moving my hand farther up the rod than normal to get more fingers on the blank.
