The Argon series is great but, what I need now is a flippin rod that can handle 50 or 60 pound braid for throughing punch baits. What would be a good suggestion? I was using a 7'10" St. Croix Avid but that is in for repairs and it will rip your arm up after a long day of flippin.

BillS,
The HE76XHC is the rod to use. Very sensitive and light enough to use all day. I do a lot of flipping in milfoil & reeds and would not use any other rod.

i second the he76xhc, but if you like the long rods the 7'11" is REAL nice too.

Its pretty average, but the Donkey Punch scene is pretty funny.

You gotta get the 7'11" xtra heavy Helium LTA. It's the bomb for punching. You can probably get away with a 7'6" xtra hevy Helium LTA but here in Florida you gotta go for the big dawg.

Bill,
I would recommend a Helium He76HC. I can use this all day punching grass and flipping into thick cover and the Helium rod is ultra light and very sensitive and I'm also spooled up with 50lb spiderwire ultracast. Great combination, hope this helps

Because the Argon rods will be discontinued for 2010, I would suggest checking out the 2010 Magnesium Broom Stick X Hvy 7'
Oh yes, it is a grass punchin' machine! Watch for the rod to hit the web site around December but you can preorder anytime by calling or checikng out Bass Pro Shops first.
