Trey,
I have recently been involved in a debate on a state chat board. The debate has been about what rod is better, Kistler or Setyr. As I have posted before, I don't really care for Setyr rods, they are cumbersome and over priced.
But any how, someone is trying to tell me that up until 2005, Kistler had been using Rogue rod blanks. I don't think this is true, but if it is I would sure like to know.

Also, I know you wont release the name of the company that makes your blanks, but I would like to know if the blanks you use are exclusive to Kistler. Also if it is not too much trouble, I would like to know a little more about the background of your company and how it started.

Gary's brother made the Rouge rods, Trey wouldnít buy from him, beside I already asked him over the phone; Trey gets his from some secret Chinese manufacturer (just guessing), with 100 ninjas guarding the gates. You could probably threaten him with death and he would never tell who of where there are made. You would probably have better luck getting the combination the Ft. Knox that any blank info from Trey.

Actually, Bob Loomis was hired by Rogue as a designer. He did not start the company. Things did not work out between Bob Loomis and Rogue and they parted ways after just a couple of months. At that point, the urban myth was already born.

pool4pro,

Where have you been? There are hundreds of post about this subject in the archives of many major web site boards.

All I can say is this:

Why would we want to tell everyone where we get our blanks? Think about it. Do we want to help advertise other blank makers? NO!

Yes, we do have an exclusive contract with our two current blanks makers.

The fact is we created the demand for our special rods and we are trying to keep all the other companies from jackpotting and using our success as a sales too for their product.

I hope this doesn't come across too sharp, but we have been over this with hundred of people and hoped that everyone would just buy our product because of its proven performance and quality. We don't need or want to say things like this for example to help sell our product, " We use such and such blanks but our rods are better". This is what you can hear from other small companies if you listen to them long enough.

Thanks and I hope this answers a few of your questions,

Trey

I'm glad to see the strong customer base defend the product so well. Just tell'em it's simple, pool4pro, they wanna downgrade your equipment 'cause they are jealous and wish they had your rods in their box!!! Wink

I know for sure if I had the cake, every one of my non-Kistler rods would have been gone as soon as I got my first LTA in. Superior product, superior staff, and quality people hands down.

....Just my two cents anyway...

Have a great day all!!!
