A couple of questions

Two questions, I primarily fish for trout and reds, but will occasionally fish for bass, and am going to buy some Kistler LTA rods but I have a couple of questions.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a 6'6, 7', and a 7'6 rod?
How big of a difference is there between the medium and medium-heavy rods, all I have ever used is Medium-Heavy so I have no experience with any other strength rod.

Jeff for reds, I recommend a 7ft Mh Helium. You can use a medium action as well, the Mh is a little stiffer. I'm 5-8 and for whatever reason, I'm not comfortable with anything under 7ft unless it is a spinning rod in which case I'll go for a 6-6 or 6-9.
