Help With Finesse Worm Rod Selection

Hello,
I just purchased my first new Kistler rods, one LTA 7'0 Medium Heavy & one Graphite 7'0 Medium. I love the new rods and i'm replacing all of my other rods which include Falcon and Shimano Crucials. I need some advice for a casting and spinning rod that I will be using for texas rigged finesse worms only.

For casting I have a Shimano Crucial 6'6 medium that I use with a Daiwa Sol and a Shimano Chronarch 50Mg, each with 12lb test. For spinning I have a Falcon Original 6'6 Medium Light spinning that I use with a Shimano Stella 2500FB, 8lb test.

I'm looking at the LTA series for each of these replacements. The LTA 6'9 Medium Heavy for the casting and the LTA 6'6 Medium for the spinning is the rods I was looking at. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use a HeAPC69 quite a bit and I really like it. But it may be a bit to stiff for throwing small finesse worms. I would recomend a 6'6" or 7' Medium action for those smaller presentations.

Welcome to the Kistler Forum! ... when you say "finesse worms" what type of rigs are you speaking of specifically? drop shot? split shot? weightless? ... small senko's or 4" roboworms? what type of line are you throwing? 4#, 6#, or higher?

Typically, for any type of true, finesse application, I would not recommend a rod above medium power whether that be a casting or spinning rod. If you're throwing small baits on heavy line because of cover considerations, or just want the flexibility of having a good amount of leverage while fighting a fish, yet maintain the ability to present some light baits, I might suggest the He76MC for your casting needs. This is an amazingly versatile rod - once you grow accustomed to the length.

The Finesse worm I was referring to is the Zoom 4 1/2'' Finesse worms that I use with a 1/8 or 1/4 bullet weight. I use 12lb test due to cover and structure that I fish. Plus, the Chronarch 50 and the TD Sol seem to cast the finesse worms better using the 12lb test.
I never considered a 7'6 length rod. I'm mostly looking for sensativity in the new rod with a good back bone. The Shimano Crucial 6'6 Medium that I use is good but I figure the Heliums would be better. Weight is also important due to power fishing every other weekend with fatigue being a factor. (sun up to sun down on Saturday and Sunday). I was going to go with a 6'6 due to the crucial is 6'6 and it seemed to be the right length for the reels that I mentioned above. I use 7'0 length for almost anything else.

I read all of the replies and was going to recommend the LTA 6'6" medium.
I have been using one with a 1001 Scorpion Mg for about a year to throw Zoom finesse worms and small jigs. I t doesn't get any better than that combo for that use.
