I have been drooling over these HE2 rods for a while now. I got a Chronarch 50mg for X-mas and was wanting to get one of these to match it up to create the lightest combo possible. I am very worried about getting one, though, because there are not any He2 or He LTAs with extra-fast action tips? The Loomis rods have that extra-fast tip and it makes it much better for casting Senkos. This set up will be used 100% for Senko fishing and nothing else. I want to get the perfect set up. Are there plans to make a Senko "special" in the HE2 or a He2 with extra-fast action?
Also, do you know the exact weight of the Mg Senko Special?
Anybody know of a lighter reel than the Shimano Chronarch 50mg? It weighs 5.9 ounces.
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Ryan,
thanks for the request. I would have to say that our He2 MHC 70 and 69 and 66 models have a pretty fast tip. Not enough to label them extra fast but most likely as fast as any other competitor's rods labeling of their rods. It is truly very hard to create extra fast action rods.
I would personally use these models for senkos if you choose to use the correct line rating and not fish around the thickest of cover.
These rods only weight about 3 ounces so they are the perfect match for the 50 mg, my personal favorite reel.
