Just wanted to see how everyones season was/has been so far? I have been almost too busy to fish, notice I said almost! Our weather here in Kansas has been so up and down that our fish never really got settled into a summer pattern, or any pattern for that fact. Trying to make the best out of the remainder of the year, and looking forward to the upcoming hunting seasons.

Can't wait to hear how your seasons have been!

Take care,

Thomas

Well I'll be the first to admit that me and my boys have not had much luck this summer. Not too many successful trips to test rods out either.

Now this weekend changed that!

My partner and I won first place overall and big bass!

Nice ending to a tough summer season.

Can't wait until the fall bite begins here in Texas!

Way to go Trey! What rods and techniques were you using? I also won a tournament this weekend - 15.13lbs. All fish caught on a HE76XHC flipping plastics in the reeds. AWESOME rod!

I fished with a small group of guys in the first annual Pine Hill Baptist Church Bas Tournament where I was the guest speaker at dinner. I caught one of the 7 bass caught among the 18 men on a little town lake near Leesville, LA. My fish weighed 4.5 lbs and it was more weight than all the other fish combined. Super tough fishery, maybe the only fish left in that lake in my opinion. Those lakes that allow folks to keep and eat any size fish can't keep up with demand even with restocking. We had good fun and fellowship but I felt bad taking all the money home back to Texas, well, not too bad...I needed a new reel to put on my Micro Z bone rod!

Just would like to say I had a pretty good season this year. The catching a bunch of fish numbers was down for the year, but the number of rod buying was up a bunch, so I guess you could say I had a great year Very Happy . Every time Kistler comes out with a new rod, I go and have to buy one to check it out and you know what that means, another reel Cool . But I did have one great trip, my son and I drove up to Guntersville back a few months ago and we really wrecked them. It was just me and him and our Kistler chatter bait rods and I'm here to tell you, it was ON. Now I'm just waiting on the Z bone. God bless and good fishing.

I started off this season with a bang. Winning my first 4 tournaments including the TBF 2009 and 2010 qualifiers. After that things went down hill and I struggled for the rest of the season, until the TBF Regional where I ended up finishing 2nd in the state and 8th overall. I hope I start next season off to a good start at Nationals. It will be my first tournament of the year since there will still be ice on the lakes up here . Very Happy
