how does this rod rate as a t-rig rod? i bought the 6'9 MH LTX for t-rigging but the backbone seems much lighter than the 7'0 MH LTX.. which i also have..
it feels more like the magnesium 6'9 MH which i also have.. but Trey said the magnesium did not really have the backbone to be a t-rig rod.. should i just go with a heavy rod?

If you are planning to use the rod in heavy cover, then go with a heavy powered rod for better results. Match the rod power with the cover you are most often fishing into. That is the trick to picking the best rod for each application.

I have this rod and use it for Texas Rigging and light jigs, like Trey said if you are fishing really heavy cover a heavy action would be better, but if not I really like this rod. Now if he would just come out with a 6'9" heavy too.

Chris,
I have two of the 69MH LTX. One is used for texas rigged plastics on weedlines, and the other I use for skipping plastics under docks. I have no problem pulling fish from either kind of cover. I think this is one of the most versitile rods in the LTX line up. Very light and VERY, VERY sensitive.

How light are you talking? I have a Shimano Aldebaran that needs a home and looking to replace my 03' He69APC. My Aldebaran doesn't sit to well on the old baston reel seat.

Well just pulled the trigger on a He2MHC69. I hope my Aldebaran is a great match.

I dont know the exact weight but I would guess 3-4 ounces. It is the lightest and most sensitive rod I have ever used. Hope you ordered 2 or 3!
