I have one word that will define the Helium LTA Flipping Rod, this is the 7'6'' non telescopic model. " Awesome" I currently use a host of Loomis Rods except for the retired IMX Flipping Rod. I do belive Trey is on to something with this line of rods. Looking foward to trying others.

I recently purchased the 7'6" heavy action Helium Flipping rod. I have not had the opportunity to try it out yet. I will post how I like it soon.

I have several Helium rods and I am sure this one will be as good as those..

Saturday I headed to the lake to try out my new Helium flipping stick (HE76HC).

Normally I have pitched baits with a 7' MH Helium rod and never felt the extra six inches in a flipping stick would make much difference. Boy was I wrong.

This model is rated for lures in the 1/2 to 1 1/2 ounce range and I wanted to see how the rod would handle a lighter lure. I tied on a 3/16 slip sinker and a Nories bug.

The rod tip had just enough softness and flex that I was able to present the small bait with accuracy, with ease, and was fun to fish with.

I was presenting the bug into shoreline tree limbs and the rod's sensitivity enabled me to feel the difference between a limb and a fish.

If you have considered purchasing a flipping stick but never have, give this rod a try. I know I will be buying another one soon.

Thanks Larry. So far Wink , I have just three 7', MC's. I use them for topwater(both buzzin' and wood baits), cranks, and jerkbaits. Saturday, I pitched a 1/2oz Strike King jig with one for the first time and caught a 3lber. The MC's really not designed with this in mind but it worked just the same. Right now, I use a locally-made, telescoping, 7.5', 'stiff' pitchin' rod with a GLoomis blank. Your Helium sounds much better!

I know she doesn't look like she weigh's 3 lbs but I weighed her on two different digital scales.............???

Larry,

You are right. The He76HC is an awesome rod for flipping. Super light weight and sensitive with plenty of backbone and that great tip action. I have two of these rods and they also are great for carolina rigging. It's the best rod I've ever used.
