I'd go with the He70MC or the He76MC if you like a rod with a light tip. The He76MC makes a great pitching as well as casting rod - it's very versatile. If you want a little more backbone, the He70MHC is more of the "classic" carolina rig rod.

woops... i meant the He70HC is more of the "classic" carolina rod, not the He70MHC... I have the former not the latter - least not yet Wink

The He70HC Heavy is a nice power for Carolina Rigging and Pitching jigs and tubes. I personally would go with the He70XHC if you are fishing in heavier cover because the power of this rod will not leave you lacking leverage.

Either rod will work great. I always preach to match the rod with the cover you are going to fish the most. If you can't decide, just flip a coin. Wink You can't go wrong with either choice.

I've been using my 7'6" HC for C-rig lately, and love it. It's normally my flippin' stick, but I recently needed to c-rig while fishing on the back of someone else's boat, and this rod was handy. We were fishing a sparse grassline, and I could feel when the bait and weight went in and out of the grass. Hit a 5.5lber on a fast drift, and it had the backbone to set the hook, but the give to keep from snapping the 12lb test I was using. I like the extra length to lift the weight up and over any obstacles it encounters. The 7'6" H action fishes much like a shorter MH. The same rod is also great for jigs up to about a 1/2 oz or for spider grubs on jig heads.
