6/28/08 9:07am rod for casting spoons |
|
|
hi,
I am trying to decide on the kistler magnesium ts or graphite plus casting rod, for casting spoons 1/4 oz-3/8 oz ( Eppinger Red Eye, Mepps Little Wolf Spoon.....),I need the rod to be powerful but not necessary stiff, good for horizontal presentations, fast-actioned during hookset and progressive during fight.
I just dont want to order something ive never seen then not like it.
Any info is greatly appreciated

cristi E,
The MgSWMH70 would be perfect for this application for it is a fast action med-hvy rod that will cast 1/8-5/8 oz. lures with ease! You will also have plenty of back bone to fight those big fish up and out of deep water! Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advise ,
one more q, what is the difference between the MgAPSMH69 and the MgSWMH70, besides the length. Do they have different actions, which is more powerful ?

The MgAPSMH69 is ratted for 1/4-3/4 oz and the MgSWMH70 is ratted for 1/8-5/8 oz. The main difference is the back bone in the MgAPSMH69 is a little stronger. Both rods would be great but if you are fishing deeper water then the 7' rod would be better for those types of hook sets. Hope this helps!
