After seeing the reviews on tackletour.com and reading the user reports on Bill Dance's website, I'm the proud owner of a HE76HC and a He70MC. Both rods were christened this weekend on the lake, I caught several nice bass on the He70MC throwing a spinnerbait and one fish pitching a fluke on the HE76HC.
I currently have fluorcarbon loaded on my rels, but the lake I fish has hydrilla. So, I was wondering if anyone has any experience using braided lines with these rods. Specifically, I don't want to damage my new rods. Thanks for any info.

Welcome to our forum Rick and I'm glad you got a couple of Heliums. Four of my five Helium's reels are loaded with Seaguar's Carbon Pro 15 or 20# test f/c. One has P-Line CXX in 15# test for topwater baits. I have one Fenwick Techna AV rod spooled with Power Pro 40# braided line so I can't directly help you but I believe there would be no problem with braid and your Heliums.

Hey there Rick,
Welcome to the forum! I've used both PowerPro and Berkley Fireline with my Heliums with no averse affects. My recommendation between the two would be the Fireline simply because the finish doesn't flake off all over your reel and reel seat the first few times you use it. Goodluck!
