Has anyone else ever forgot to hook their rod straps on the deck of their boat before taking off? I forgot to strap one of mine down today and lost a LTX II paired with the new Revo Premier reel.
I ran about a mile in pretty rough water and when I got to my next spot I had realized what I had done. I got the worst feeling in my stomach. I had only been fishing about an hour and was catching a few fish, but needless to say, I felt so bad I just headed to the launch ramp and called it a day.
Someone tell me this has happened to them.... Crying or Very sad

Yes, I have heard plenty of bad stories. The good news is you lost one and not a bunch. I had stories come in of people losing multiple rods at once. The reasons are from waves, kicking rods over, transoms breaking and turning the boat hard, co anglers, etc. It is never good when you lose a rod.
