5/5/08 7:06pm LTX rods and Braid....No fish are safe!! |

WOW, I can't begin to tell you still how impressed I am with the LTX line of rods!! Over the past 2 weeks, my tournament partner (Shawn ( - - blocked - - )) and I have fished several big tournaments (~250 boats) here on a local lake. The water has been inbetween 10 and 15 feet high and there is flooded brush everywhere. We have been on a good pattern fishing flat nasty stuff in the backs of coves. We have caught fish behind people in brush and trees that they wouldn't dare pitch into. We will come right behind them and catch fish. Not only does that boost your confidence in fishing, but man is it a blast!!! All weekend long we would flip into a tree and say, "if I get bit, I don't know how I'm gonna get her out!", most times we would find a way to get her in the boat.
If anyone doesn't currently have a LTX rigged up with some braid, I would highly recommend it!! I have been using 65lb power pro and love it.
Take care all,
Thomas Wells

I just picked up some Power Pro in phantom red (50lb) to spool up on my "Chatterbait" Magnesium and TD Zillion burner reel, for some topwater froggin' fun, and it's great to know we can winch them out of trees too, when flippin' Sweet Beavers!
I still feel like I am a few years behind on the latest gear & tackle, but I have been out of it since 2000. Baby steps, ya know?
Thanks for the advice!
