Hey guys! I am currently fishing nine Kistler rods (mostly in the Mag series), along with some graphite plus series rods, and love them all. I use the graph/plus "7'3" frog and slop special" to throw SPRO frogs in heavy pads and grass here on the Mississippi River. I love this rod. I want to get another frog rod and am looking to get one just a bit lighter, either a mag or LTA. What recommendations do you have? Thanks.

The LTA HE70XHC Hands down is the best frog rod. Works for the slop and has the length and balance for open water!!

I personally use the Magnesium Jig, and Toad Special MgJTH70
rod for my frog fishing. It is a great rod, and during the winter I fish my jigs on it, and it is really sensitive.

Thanks for the imput. I bought this rod at the end of the season last year and absolutely love it. I use it to flip jigs, but did not have an opportunity to throw frogs with it yet. I was leaning towards buying another one of these rods so I am glad to hear your imput. I just wanted to cover all options before making an order. thanks again!

I would look at the helium II 7'11 you wouldn't even know it's a flipping stick as light as it is, plus with the added length you should be able to get some really good distance on your cast and some good solid hooksets.
