I've been fishing with two of these for several months now. Awesome, amazing rod! The only thing that keeps me from immediately replacing every Loomis and Fenwick (about 12) I have with a Helium is the warranty. It is not really a lifetime warranty. It seems more like a one year warranty from what is written in this website. I understand a rod will fail in the first few uses if the materials or workmanship was defective. But with Loomis it is $50 no matter when or how a rod is broken and Fenwick is over the counter exchange at any dealer. The Heliums are better than Loomis and Fenwick, but not so much better it is worth the lesser warranty. I've let several guys try my Heliums and they are wowed... but won't switch over because of the warranty. I hear this more than you would think. I think you would sell a lot more rods and win a lot of new converts with a warranty more like Loomis'. In the meantime, I will stick with the two Heliums I have (I love them) and hope they don't ever break... because if they do I will replace them with a Loomis until Kistler offers a better warranty.
"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you... because of the rock on which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."
