I am wanting a rod for all this grass? Should I go with the H or XH 7 footer. It will be throwing big jigs and worms/ Also anther consideration is the Hydrila Gorilla in the jigging rods ( not helium)?????????????

Hank, welcome to our forum.

I'd go with the 7', 6" Heavy Caster since you're going to be pitchin' heavy jigs, I have one and it's great for that technique.

Hank,

We have several prostaff guys that always order the X heavy rods for this lake. Whether you are throwing a frog, jig or big worm, the vegetation requires an extra stiff rod to help pull the fish through and on to the net. The Hydrilla Gorilla is a great choice as well as the Jig and Pig Special. The Frog Special will get the job done well too and it's a little lighter in weight.

Give us a call if you need help picking out the perfect one for you.

Trey
