9/11/06 10:21am Need Finesse rod |

Hey guys,
Please help me out. I am new to Kistler and need to get a finesse rod. This rod will be used for light weight texas rigs, bitsy bugs, teeny torpedoes and the like. If I can get a graphite plus great, but if someone is real convincing I would get a magnesium or helium. If you have a used rod that would fit the bill let me know. Maybe I could afford books that way (college grad student)

Mitch,
I would suggest the KDSS69. It has the perfect tip for light weight set ups.
If you wanted to try the Mg series, then you would have just as good luck with the MgDSFWML69. It also is designed for the lighter lures.
Both have very good backbones for handling big fish with light line.
Buy those books first and then see what you have left over to spend on a new toy.
Good Luck,
Trey

Mitch,
No problem. I think we have a few custom KDSS69 built up as a casting rod.
If not, you could go with either the KCBS66 OR KCBS7. Both have the same action as the spinning rods I mentioned.
In the Mg series, the Mg new KTWJB68 rod will be available in Nov. This rod would be perfect! The next Mg would be the MgAPS69 and it has a nice soft fast tip with great backbone.
Hope this helps a little,
Trey
