7/30/06 6:15pm 7/30/06--One bite, one Bass...on a 7' Medium Light LTA |

Caught a few dinks at my boss's pond yesterday but nothing worthy of a pic
Headed down to the Ocmulgee Public Fishing Area today with showers off-and-on and thunderstorms threatening with some wind. Temps cooled off to the 70s after rain yesterday.
Tried a shallow and a deep cr/bait, wacky-rigged Senko, T-rigged Paca Craw, and a Zoom Vibra-tail worm all to no avail in the upper end and along the creek channel.
Headed up the lake(106 acres but low water level) and went into a shallow cove; throwing the shallow cr/bait and then the T-rigged Zoom. In 3' of water I felt weight and set the hook. Sure enough, she(there are only female F1 Bass in this 2 year old lake) had me wrapped around some underwater wood. I felt her surge as I tried to undo the snag but was having no luck. Back and forth with the rod and the boat until about 5 minutes later, she ( - - blocked - - ) off of the wood and into the boat
Surprisingly, the 8lb Seaguar Invisix line held and the GY sugoi hook kept her on for all that time.
