It is all personal preference. I never mentioned trying to return the rod, I just stated my observation of the rod. I have many different makes and models of rods that I fish with and am able to decipher their differences. The comment about a "2x4" was of course sarcasm, but honestly compared to any other rod I have (not just the Avid) this rod feels heavier because of it's balance. I understand that the overall weight of the LTA is an ounce less than the Avid, however due to the balance (in my opinion) it feels heavier.
I will continue to fish this rod and the other 6'6" LTA I bought from e-bay. I really do like the rod, I was just posting my personal observation on the feel of the rod. As a matter of fact I will probably pick another one up soon for cranks and topwater, maybe LTX?????
