SDFD.. the He70MC is a great rod... what reels are you looking at?

I am waiting for the new daiwa reels to come out. Here is a link to some info about them. They are the new Daiwa Sol and the Fuego You may have to scroll up or down a little to see them. They are the orange and red reels.

cool SDFD... I'm aware of the new releases.... are you aware that the Sol is the Alpha which is available now? Most seem to think the Fuego is the TD-X Air Metal. They probably won't be released until late fall is my guess.

MNBasser,
Do you have any [-- login to view link --] ? If not, see if you can pick some up. Cast them past the "junk" and buzz them across the surface over it or next to it. If you get a boil and they miss, let it drop.
It's a fantasic little bait and easily workable with your He70MH. In fact, it might leave you wanting an He76HC lol

Well I used my new Helium today and actually caught several 2 pound largemouth and one smallmouth around 2 1/2 and all I can say is I don't know why I didn't get one of these before. One thing I have noticed with my rod is that the reel will move just a little bit when you are trying to reel a fish in or if you are reeling really fast it will move. It is not a big deal but just something to ponder about. The reel is a Team Daiwa X.

SDFD,
You have to add some tape or something to the base of the reel to make it more snug. Don't overtighten the reelseat as this may cause other issues. Trey has addressed this issue on the board before. Apparently, this happens with only some reels because each reel is different - there's not a soidifed standard on the base of reels hence the variation.
That's the way I understand it.

I have a He70mc and i use it for senko's, crankbaits, and topwater. I team it up with a shimano scorpion 1000mg. What a combo. If you are into light-weight, that is it. You will fall in love with this rod.
