The Helium is higher up on the food chain than the Mg line so the assumption is, the Helium is "better". But it really depends on your application and the characteristics you value in a rod for a full determination of the facts.

I believe the order goes like this: Graphite Plus, Magnesium TS, Helium LTA & Helium II LTX. But as far as which rod is better, my opinion is there is a place for each. For crankbaits there is the Graphite composite crankbait rod and the Graphite/ Glass composite in the Mag. TS series, I love the HE76HC for worms and jigs and the HE76MHC for wacky worms and lipless cranks in the grass and there isn't a 7'6" LTX available yet. The weight and sensitivity of the LTX is so incredible that for certain applications I don't know how I got by without it up until now. Just my thoughts!!!

If there's such a flipping rod that I am not willing to BANK too much money on and affordable, I take the KFS76 Graphite Plus series any day. Plus side, I don't have to deal with telescopic flipping rod while I have it in one piece and be flipping happy with my jigs. I am an old school sticking up for my Abu Garcia 5600C4 on my KFS76 but am considering an upgrade for Abu Garcia 5600D6 or Morrum 5600. However, using crankbait, I take the Mags Glass/Composite rods under a careful consideration but haven't determined which baitcaster would go with it just yet, too soon to tell right away. If I wanted straight up Texas-rigging worming or Carolina-rigging, Helium LTX is HARD to beat. What makes you happy, franchishooter, if you're willing to spend it that much or whatnot. More power to you... Smile

Turkeyboy,
I'm not trying to start anything, but in one of your other posts you mentioned that you have only sampled a kistler 7'M LTA and continued to state that you didn't like the Kistler waranty and stated you were leery of buying until you looked into it more. So these rods that you are recomending, do you actually own and use, or are you just making assumptions on how they fish?

Good news, I got a couple of Graphite Series. I didn't pay for'em. I got'em as gifts. Wink Was leery of the warranty but am convinced otherwise that it doesn't matter anymore. Guilty as charged here, my 5th amendment exercise have been revoked. Embarassed
