Smallie,

Depends what your overall budget is Smile ... the Stradic is a nice little reel but Daiwa is offering a new comer this year called the Exceler.. you can find out some initial info about this reel here:

at a ~$60 price point, it's going to be hard to beat. The one thing the Stradic might have over this reel is weight. The Exceler is a little heavy.

My personal favorite from the Daiwa line is the Certate. From Shimano, I like what I hear about the new 2006 Shimano Ultegra (import reel) - it has Shimano's SR technology which is similar to Daiwa's Real 4 Concept or Digigear Engineering.

Im lookin at either a new twinpowers 1000/ or S or another biomaster to go on my LTA ML. I love my biomasters, but im looking for a ( - - blocked - - ) reel for UL fishing.

I just purchased a 06' Biomaster 2000 and couldn't be happier. Though not water tested yet it seems very smooth and just the right size for smallies. Mine weighed in at 8.7oz.

Plus you get a Shimano neoprene reel cover. Very Happy
