1/10/06--3 Warm weather Bass

I skunked out at a cow-pond last Sat so I was getting restless. Went back to my boss's pond with a high of 71 degrees, no clouds, sunny, clear water, and an off-and-on wind. No shirt needed--wish I'd worn my shorts!


The first two hours were fruitless but I finally stuck a 2 lber and then 5 minutes later, I landed a 5 lber; both on a Strike King 1/2 oz, black/blue Rattlin' Pro jig with a Blue Joe's Chunk for a trailer and all of it dipped in CB's HS. I missed two 2 lbers(?) on the jig. Later, I hooked a dink on a T-rigged Paca Craw.

Btw, that's a Daiwa Heartland Z Carolina Special rod I won in a Katrina Victim's auction over on Tackle Tour. I still have and use all of my Heliums.
