I've read nothing but great things about Kistler rods. I am looking for a dock skipping rod that can also serve as an all around rod as well. I am looking at the HE63MS. I am curious as to any opinions on the rod and what it can be used for.
Thanks for any input

Well I'll answer since no body else has experience with this rod. I would not recommend this power of a rod if you plan on pullling bigger fish away from a dock without breaking your line. I would recommend a MH power.

I would agree with Trey, the MH Helium will increase your catch rate when skippin docks. The med. will be to light, you need a rod that will move the fish quickly out from under the dock. I have used the older Helium 6'-3" MH for this technic in the past and love the rod, I will be purchasing another one soon. Good Luck.

Thanks Trey and CRANKINSMALLIES,
I had the same sentiment but wanted to make sure. I picked up HE66MHS and MGDSS635. I love them both. Keep up the great work Trey.
