I'am looking for the best frog rod. Currently I throw a 5/8 oz Spro frog on a 7'6" med hvy rod. Want to try a Kistler, love the USA made products.
Thanks

far and away my favorite frog rod is the He76HC. plenty of backbone with the perfect tip to walk a frog in open water. it isnt a true heavy action rod, so it really works a frog well. the 7'6" length combined with braid provides perfect hooksets on long casts.

Ben is right about the He76HC but the 2009 models are a little stronger than the older versions. If you want an Argon, you should try the AFJ75C because it is perfect for froggin'.

My favorite Kistler for fishing both a hollow body frog (Spro or Snagproof style) or a Buzzfrog style is the AFJ71C. It has a great tip for both skipping and walking the bait and plenty of backbone for getting the fish out of heavy grass.
It is my favorite rod in the Argon series and is very versitile.

Just got back from fishing a tournament and I frogged all week. I was using the He70HC. Truly an awesome forggin' stick. Never got over powered, casts like a dream, and tons of backbone.
