I use Kistler rods for bass fishing and love them. I was wondering if anyone uses them for flounder fishing. I would be fishing at indian river inlet in DE. Need something around the medium heavy to heavy. Any suggestions would be great.

Bassmaster39,
I use one of my worm rods (MgSWMH70) when I go flounder fishing here in South Alabama and it works well. Really don't need the sensitivity that Kistler rods have for flounder fishing but you will need the back bone for the fight and this rod here that I use has plenty of that. I don't know how big of a flounder you are talking about but I have caught them up to 8 pounds on this rod and never a problem. As you suggested, any Kistler rod in the med. to med. hvy should work great. Now, if you just want to have some fun, use a spinning rod with 10lb test line on it. I have the MgAPM66S spinning rod that I have caught flounder and red fish on, now that was a blast.
