2/19/05 10:50am Senko special questions |
|
|
hey guys im new here so go easy.Got here through your BBC banner.Have heard so many great things about these rods i guess its time to try one myself.
I throw a lot of soft plastics, light jigs and grubs,Is the senko special the way to go or is there a better rod.Seems i have a bad habit of always over sizing my rods. Most of my rods are 7 foot medium heavy and i wonder if im missing the boat here.
And my other question is does the Senko special come in Spinning or only in casting?? You know us Yankee's cant throw a senko on a casting rod

The senko rod is a great rod and can be used for many applications including soft jerkbaits, rip baits, texa rig, and light jigs up to 3/8 ounce. its a very versatile rod that is well made with high end components, light, sensitive and the finest quality and craftsmanship that a company can offer. YOU CANT FIND A BETTER ROD FOR THE $. yes only baitcast right now but changes could be coming? aslo the helium 6'9" MH APC is the most awesome rod built. can throw almost anything on it. finest materials and crafstmanship and you will not find a better rod period. take a look and you wont be sorry! call Clifford or Trey and they will take care of you.

JerryT: Welcome to our family .
It's funny you mentioned "yankees" as I did too in this [-- login to view link --] yesterday. Yes, you can throw a 5", weightless Senko with a baitcaster as that's all I use. My favorite Helium is the HE70MC and that rod matched with a decent reel will allow me to throw a Senko a 'country mile'(that's a fer piece for you yankees) . In any case, I'd get the longest, Medium weight Helium that whatever reel you use will fit.

Now I understand---"skipping Senkos". I'd still get the Medium action Helium; [-- login to view link --] . It handles lighter-weight baits well as well as other tasks too.
