Guys I need your experience feedback...What's the best or higly recommended for topwater line use? My favorite line I've always use P-line, the one I've always use p-line fluoroclear 10 lbs line. I feel this consider "sinking" line I want something float works best for topwater bait. I've heard braided line that I've never use it before. Need some of your Help from u guys.
P.S. I've look at new p-line called Hydrofloat I read its good for salmon and steelhead but will it work for Bass? I'm a Bass fisherman. (I'm not a pro level). Thank you.

Can't tell you anything about Hydrofloat; have never used it. I normally use green Trilene XT 17#; it has always worked well for my topwater line. It's fairly "big" line, and stays on top of the water well when using Pop-R's/Yellow Magic's, Spooks, and buzzbaits. Mono -fil -a -ment (had to space this word out like that so it wouldn't be "blocked" on this forum) line works for topwater baits; the slight bit of "stretch" you will find in Mono is often to your advantage when using topwater baits.

I throw 10 lb P-line C triple X on pop-r baits and prop baits. If you have used P-line much you know 10 lb is enough. It will allow you throw it as far and it has is extremely durable.

I throw 15 lb P-line C triple X on buzzbaits.

I use McCoy's Mean Green in 15 lb or less depending on the lake or type of cover I am fishing around. It is a geat line and last longer than other brands I have used.

Scott's absolutely right. I use braid on almost everything except topwater.

Braid is too limp, expecially as it gets water logged. moving to a heavier mono will give you better performance - particularly if you are throwing spooks or other walk-the-dog type baits.

Mono will actually be a little more forgiving for an overanxious hookset. With braid, you're more likely to pull the bait out of the fish's mouth because there is no stretch, where mono will offer you that bit of forgiveness with 20-30% stretch in the line.

LuckyCraft actually offers a TopWater Nylon line with a hollow core - you may want to look at that product as well.
