1/11/09 9:35pm Anyone using a MgAPM66S(Magnesium 6ft 6" Spinning-Mediu
Can you dropshot with this rod, what about shaky heads, flukes, sluggos, topwaters? I have always understood that you would want a FAST action rod for these types of applications but this rod is in a MODERATE Fast Action and make me question if the Medium Heavy 6ft 6" (FAST) rod is the better selection....Any Kistler users have any feedback on this specific rod or TREY KISTLER can you share your thoughts?
Very much appreciated!

This is a very versatile rod for all the techniques you have listed. YOu can't go wrong with this rod. I just wouldn't use it in thick vegetation.

I own 2 of theese rods and I use them for all my spinning applications. I drop shot just fine with them. Some people perfer a light action rod but for bass fishing I hate trying to land a 5 pound spot on a rod i would trout fish with. But yeah I throw mostly shakey heads, drop shots, flukes, lighter jerkbaits and light topwater on it. works great for me. awsome rods and hope to add 2 more magnesiums to the already 7 that i own.
